DAITO’s ST series are best known for their patened miter cutting feature and remarkable reliablity among structural steel users.
Workpiece is clamped with 3, fixed / movable / mitering jaws, with all cuts.
[1] Unclamp and crank the saw frame with the power swivel.
[2] Set the correct angle for the miter jaws according to the miter counter dial and clamp. For short work pieces, DAITO recommend’s the “Short Work Plate” option.
MATERIAL PLACED INTO THE MACHINE AT AN ANGLE
■ＳＴⅢ SERIES
If long material is entered into the machine at an angle, the DAITO machine swivels just enough with the angled material when clamped.
■Fixed vise jaw designTheir machine is unable to adjust for the long material entered at an angle, with their fixed vise jaw design.
The refined amplifying valve that controls cutting pressure by amplifying cutting resistance increases the cutting speed by 30 percent and improves blade life.
Saw blade pinching due to beam inner stress is eliminated by DAITO’s unique proactive step-feed method.
8 operations conveniently concentrated to 2 joy sticks (the main vise clamp/unclamp saw frame up / down, take in roller and vertical vise).
BOTTOM STOPPER
Installed at the saw guide, the saw frame bottom stopper is adjustment-free and not affected by the material width.
RATCHET SAW BLADE TENSIONER
The saw blade tension is easily adjusted by the adjusting wheel and fully tensioned with the use of the ratchet wrench and tension indicator.
INVERTER SPEED CONTROL
The blade speed is changed by the inverter volume; mechanical operations are unnecessary.
SPACE-SAVING
Machine width is less than 98 3/8”; the most compact machine for the capacity.
VERTICAL VISE
The vertical vise hydraulically clamps wide / bundled workpiece to prevent vibrations and blade failures.
FRONT VISE
The front vise clamps out feed side work-piece. Even short material end cuts can be easily accomplished with this unique feature. For miter cuts the jaws are escaped / released.
CARBIDE BACK-UP ROLLER
The carbide back-up roller placed between bearings which are isolated from cutting fluid assures long life of the equipment.
CLEAR LIGHT BEAM
The cutting position is projected by the strong LED; the shadow is even clear in a bright working environment.
WHEEL COVER LIMIT SWITCHES
If either wheel cover is opened during run, the saw blade stops for safety.
BED / VISE REINFORCEMENT
To avoid wear of the machine body, replaceable hardened plates are placed on the base bed and vises for longer machine life.
Depending on your priority, either coolant fluid (blade life) or spray mist (environment) is selectable. An air source is necessary.
Either 7 rollers (light material) or 5 rollers (heavy material) is selectable for the 2 meter length roller table. A powered roller unit is available to install.
The roller is manipulated with a joystick; hydraulically lifts up material and feed it by a motor.
If workpiece is too short for the vises , the
optional short work plate makes up the workpiece
applicable.
To optimize machine operation, the right side operation is selectable as an option.
